the North Circular [the North Circular]
a series of roads that join together and pass through many areas of North London. They join the ↑South Circular at the ↑Thames, east and west of London. Until the ↑M25 was built the North Circular formed the main road round London. It still carries a lot of traffic, which often moves very slowly.
